Going international in a digital world25 November 2021, 14.00-17:30 Gr Time, Porto Palace Hotel Thessaloniki, Greece The target group are women entrepreneurs with special emphasis on immigrant women. The objective is to teach them about internationalization strategies and how digital tools can assist them on their internationalization journey. The reason why the focus is on immigrant women is that the barriers for these women are lower than for local women because they have immediate access to international markets simply because of their home country. They speak the language, know the customs, are familiar with the culture, and detect opportunities in their own country easier than in the new one. They only need more confidence, some internationalization skills and understand how digital tools can help them to accelerate their entry into these markets. Once they are used to doing business in their home country, it will be easier to explore less familiar markets too. The purpose of the event is to show these women role models of immigrant entrepreneurs who are internationally active with their firm. These role models will share their experiences with the participants. The goal is that this learning experience will boost the participants confidence to follow the role model's example.
